A warm, small-group literacy program for grades K–3

The Literacy Studio at Jain Montessori is a warm, intentional reading and writing program created for children who need strong literacy support in a setting that feels personal, thoughtful, and encouraging. Designed for homeschool, hybrid, and traditional students, the program helps children grow in reading, spelling, writing, and confidence through small-group instruction that is structured, supportive, and rooted in care.

At Jain, we believe literacy is one of the most important foundations a child can build. A child who can read with confidence, express their ideas clearly, and feel capable in language is better equipped to thrive across every area of learning. The Literacy Studio was created to give children more focused support in these essential skills while still honoring their pace, readiness, and unique way of learning.

Who this program is for

The Literacy Studio is designed for students in kindergarten through 3rd grade who would benefit from intentional, small-group literacy support.

This program may be a strong fit for children who:

  • need extra support in reading or writing

  • are still building confidence as readers

  • need help with spelling, phonics, or sentence writing

  • would benefit from structured instruction in a warm, small-group setting

  • are ready for enrichment and stronger literacy foundations

Two 90 Minute Sessions a Week

5 students per session

$400/month

  • Our Approach

    The Literacy Studio offers structured, intentional literacy support that helps children build strong reading and writing foundations step by step. Instruction may include phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, comprehension, sentence construction, and writing development, all within a calm, encouraging, and personal learning environment. Students are placed by readiness, not grade alone, so support can be matched to their individual skill level and growth.

  • What makes the Literacy Studio different

    The Literacy Studio is intentionally small. We are not trying to fill a room and call it support. Small groups allow children to be seen, known, encouraged, and challenged in a way that is much harder to do in large programs.

    Our goal is not only to strengthen literacy skills, but to help children feel confident while they learn. Many children do not need more pressure. They need thoughtful teaching, the right pacing, and a place where they can build skill without feeling lost, rushed, or overlooked.
