Cultivating wonder in every child.

At Jain, children learn through their hands, their whole bodies, and their imagination. They care for their environment, create with real materials, and build skills that last far beyond the classroom.

We believe childhood should be both nurturing and intentional. Here, children are given space to explore, create, move, and grow within a community where they are deeply known.

One Community. Many Ways to Grow.

  • Children’s House (Preschool)

Our Children’s House is the heart of Jain Montessori. This multi-age program for children ages 2–6 offers a warm, intentionally prepared environment where children build independence, confidence, and a strong foundation for life and learning through hands-on experiences.

Children move through a rhythm of practical life, early literacy, creativity, sensorial exploration, social-emotional growth, and meaningful work that supports both the whole child and the early academic years. Rather than rushing childhood, we create space for children to grow through beauty, repetition, order, movement, and connection.

At Jain, children are not simply supervised. They are deeply known, thoughtfully guided, and invited into a learning environment that feels alive, purposeful, and nurturing.

Come Get Dirty

Childhood at Jain is meant to be lived, not managed.

Children build, create, explore, and engage with the world around them through hands-on, meaningful experiences. From art and sensory play to gardening and outdoor discovery, learning happens through movement, curiosity, and real connection.

Some of the most important learning doesn’t happen at a desk. It happens in the mess, in the process, and in the joy of becoming.

Not your typical school.

Children learn through outdoor play, animal care, gardening, and real-life experiences.

Children choose meaningful work and build independence at their own pace.

Art, nature, and imagination are woven into everyday learning.

We nurture the whole child, not just academics.

We build strong literacy foundations with intentional, research-informed instruction.

Built by two mothers. Rooted in one vision.

Destiny Iniguez, M.Ed

Destiny is an early childhood educator with a Master of Education from Saint Mary’s College, an AMS Montessori credential, and over nine years of experience building intentional learning communities from the ground up. With a background in psychology and an emphasis in Montessori education, she is one of the only Master’s-prepared Montessori educators in Solano County.

She is also a mother of four, and her work is deeply shaped by that role. Her approach to education is rooted not only in training and experience, but in a deep love for childhood and a real understanding of what children and families need in order to thrive.

She leads Jain’s literacy vision and educational philosophy, grounded in the belief that teaching a child to read is one of the most powerful things an educator can do. Jain is her life’s work, shaped by a deep commitment to meaningful learning, strong foundations, and the belief that childhood should be honored with beauty, purpose, and care.

Founder & Co-Owner

Rachelle Perez

Rachelle has worked with children from infancy through kindergarten since 2013 and brings a deep love for early childhood, creativity, and meaningful learning to Jain Montessori. With a Montessori background and a strong artistic gift, she leads Jain’s atelier program, creating rich opportunities for children to explore art, imagination, and hands-on expression. She also plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the school, helping cultivate the rhythm, care, and thoughtful structure that shape the Jain experience. As both an educator and a mother, she is passionate about creating a nurturing space where children feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

What families say

  • We have had an exceptional experience at this Montessori school. Michelle is an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced teacher, and it truly shows in the classroom. Our 4-year-old absolutely loves going to school each day and has learned so much academically, socially, and emotionally. The joy and confidence our child brings home speaks volumes about the environment Michelle creates. Rachelle and Destiny, the directors, are equally wonderful--caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in both the children and their families. Their presence and leadership make the school feel supportive and well run. Having gone through several schools with our older child, we can confidently say that this experience stands apart. This school is nurturing, fun, and thoughtfully designed to support children's growth. We are incredibly grateful to have found such a positive, enriching environment and would highly recommend it to any family seeking a true Montessori experience.

  • We are so happy with our experience at Jain Montessori. Our three year old has grown so much since starting here. We've seen incredible progress in his speech development, and it's been fun to watch his confidence grow. The director and staff do a wonderful job with activities that are both fun and educational. We feel completely at ease knowing our child is in good hands. They send pictures and daily updates. After our experience with other childcare facilities, we are so happy we found them.
