Assistant Teacher

Jain Montessori is a boutique micro-school serving children ages 2.5-6 through a rich blend of Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, nature-based learning, and practical life. We are looking for an Assistant Teacher who is nurturing, dependable, playful, and ready to grow.

• Someone who brings joy, humor, and heart into the classroom.

Minimum Requirements

• 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units completed. W
• Experience working with children preferred (school, childcare, nannying, camps, etc.).
• Willingness to learn Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio-inspired practices.
• CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to move easily between indoor/outdoor spaces, sit on the floor, lift materials, and engage physically with children’s activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional ECE units toward full teacher qualifications.
• Experience in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, or nature-based programs.
• Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
• Reliability, we love people who show up ready to be part of a community.
